Raptors running out of gas…

The Toronto Raptors found a way to beat the Atlanta Hawks last Sunday and followed that with a lost to a struggling Cleveland Cavaliers last night.

Somehow the Raptors are staying ahead of the Brooklyn Nets. The Atlantic Division winner will have home court advantage in their match-up in the first round. The Chicago Bulls took control of the third seed in the Eastern Conference with the Raptors loss.

The Bulls have more victories than the Raptors. The Bulls next three games will be against struggling teams: Portland Trailblazers and back-to-back against the Boston Celtics. The Bulls should be able to keep the third seed until the end of the season.

The Raptors still have a great chance to win the next three games: back-to-back against the Boston Celtics and Orlando Magic. Coach Casey needs to get his team to focus on winning and show mental toughness.  They will probably maintain the fourth seed.

The Raptors top 3 players: Kyle Lowry (36), DeMar DeRozan (38) and Amir Johnson (29) are playing too many minutes, which may come back to haunt them in the playoffs.

The Nets will play Charlotte Bobcats, Cleveland Cavaliers and Minnesota Timberwolves this week. The Nets are playing much better and without Kevin Garnett in the line-up there are winning.

The Nets are 7 – 3 in the last 10 games, which is better than either the Bulls or Raptors.

The Eastern Conference third, fourth and fifth seed will not be decided until the last week of the season. I still believe the Bulls will keep the third spot, Raptors fourth and Nets will end up fifth.

Which order the third, fourth and fifth seed will be in the Eastern Conference?

Enjoy your day!
